Newcastle City Marina is located at the heart of Newcastle’s Quayside and is only a 5 minute walk from the city centre with all the attractions you would expect of a cosmopolitan European regional capital city. With such a central location, everything is close by.

Opening Hours
Vessels are welcome to visit Newcastle City Marina anytime. Marina staff normal working hours are 8:30am to 6:30pm most days of the week. Vessels that plan to visit outside of these times are advised to contact the Newcastle City Marina Team on 0191 211 3959 (press option 3).

Groceries
The nearest supermarket is the Tesco Express at Trinity Gardens. For opening times and location map please click here.

Eating out
The Quayside has a wide range of restaurants to suit every budget. For a full list of restaurants, click here.

Car Parking
The nearest car park is the Quayside Multi-Storey. This is free after 5pm Monday to Saturday. For further information click here.

St Peter’s Marina is located 1 mile downstream from Newcastle City Marina and offers a comprehensive list of boating services from chandlery to fuel supplies. For further information click here.

Laundry Services
If you need laundry doing then our local Housemade laundry business can help – just call Steven or Alexandra Bage  on 07577 844873.  For a very reasonable cost they’ll collect laundry from your boat, wash, dry and return it to you the next day.  You can email them at housemadecleaning@hotmail.co.uk

Showers, Toilets and Changing Facilities
Newcastle City Marina has an arrangement with the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead to provide shower and changing facilities to visiting yachtsmen.

Waste
The Marina has a 1100ltr wheelie bin for customers refuse.  This is situated 70m upriver beneath the Swing Bring arch.

Spill Kit
In the event of an on-board oil or fuel leak a spill kit is available at the Marina.  Please contact one of the Marina Rangers for this.

Millennium Bridge opening times

The Millennium Bridge provides a gateway to the Quayside. If your boat has a mast, however, the likelihood is that you’ll need the bridge to be raised to reach the Marina.

The details are:

Air Gap: In the lowered position the air gap at MHWS to pass beneath the Millennium Bridge is 4.5m, in the raised position the air gap at MHWS is 25.0m (information provided by the Port of Tyne).
