Temporary River Closures

Notice is hereby given that river closures will be in force between the East Quayside Pontoon (just downstream of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge) and a position approximately 100m upstream of the High Level Bridge on the following dates / times:
Friday 29th August 09:00 – 17:00
Saturday 30th August 09:00 – 18:00
Sunday 31st August 08:00 – 14:15
During these times fast moving craft may be encountered in the area. Attempted passage could be extremely hazardous. For this reason all vessels (other than competitors, race safety craft, & other dedicated craft with advance express permission) will be excluded from this area.
All other vessels should keep well clear and be prepared to follow the reasonable instructions of race control, safety craft, police & other control authorities and maintain a listening watch on VHF12.
