How do I Book?

Is there a Pilot available to guide me in and berth my vessel?

No, all Owners are responsible for berthing their own vessels. A Newcastle City Marina Street Ranger will meet you on the pontoon upon arrival, but they are not responsible for berthing.

Is there an extra charge for electricity or water?

No, electricity and water supply is included in the berthing fee. No hoses are provided and only approved water sockets and cables may be used.

Is 'rafting' permitted at the Marina?

Yes, at peak times rafting is encouraged.

Is there a speed limit on the Tyne?

Yes, the speed limit is 6 knots over the ground.

How far away is the city centre?

Newcastle City Marina is situated on the heart of the Newcastle’s historic Quayside in the shadow of the Tyne Bridge. All of the city’s shops, bars, restaurants and cultural venues are only a few minutes walk away.

Where is the nearest supermarket?

The nearest supermarket is the Tesco Express at Trinity Gardens on the Quayside 2 minutes walk from the Marina. For opening times and location map please click here.

Where can I dispose of refuse?

The Newcastle City Marina bins are situated under the arch of the Swing Bridge immediately west of the Marina.
